Hi,

My name is Richard Adams and it's my pleasure to be bringing you this website today.

I've been keeping exotic pets for over a decade and have kept dozens of species in that time though my special interest is in tarantulas.

I studied at university as a zoologist and over the years have had some exciting adventures thanks to my passion.

I've reviewed books, worked on TV programs, been a committee member of the British Tarantula Society, taught exotic pet care to UK animal welfare trusts and more.

I have been building websites for years and getting some great feedback about them so it seemed like a natural progression to combine my two hobbies - building websites and exotic pets - into one.

It was in the middle of 2004 that I finally made the big decision to build this site and finally launched it in early 2005.

I now live in Berkshire, just to the west of London if you're not based in the UK, with my collection of exotic pets, which I shall be introducing you to in the newsletter as time goes on...

From time to time I have excess captive-bred livestock available and visitors to this site are the first to hear about it.

So please make the most of this resource that I put so much effort into, and make sure you join the community for the full benefits.

I'll see you in the discussion forum!
